Surrounded by an impressive mountain scenery, the Farm Zerund welcomes you to an exciting winter holiday on the farm in Castelrotto. The striking peak of the Sciliar and the Alpe di Siusi are covered in deep snow and glimmer under the bright sunlight and sparkling snow fields cover up the mountain slopes. The Farm Zerund is located only 15 minutes by car from the South Tyrolean village of Siusi allo Sciliar. There you’ll find the valley station of the modern cable car, which takes you quickly and safely into the winter sports area on the Alpe di Suisi - the largest mountain plateau in Europe.

Great fun in the ski network Dolomiti Superski

The ski resort on the Alpe di Siusi is part of the world’s largest ski network Dolomiti Superski and offers 60 km of perfectly groomed slopes. Most slopes have an easy to moderate difficulty level and are therefore especially suitable for children and beginners. In two children’s ski schools the kids may learn how to ski under the guidance of trained instructors. Freestylers and snowboarders can look forward to the Snowpark Alpe di Siusi with a half pipe and many jumping elements. In the ski network Dolomiti Superski with only one ski pass you may enjoy a total of 1,200 km of slopes in 12 different areas.

Fascination Sella Ronda: The winter sports experience in the Dolomites

For many skiers, the legendary Sella Ronda is the true highlight during their winter holidays on the farm in Castelrotto. This combination of ski touring and downhill fun allows you to surround in one day the complete Sella Massif. 26 kilometres of slopes await you, before in the afternoon you head back to the starting point. The entrance to the Sella Ronda is in the Gardena Valley – you may reach it from the Farm Zerund in only 15 minutes by car. Alternatively, you may take the free shuttle bus, which stops right in front of our farm.

Winter fun off the slopes

Snowshoeing, ice skating, tobogganing and cross country skiing – the winter leisure offer in the Sciliar area during your winter vacation on the farm in Castelrotto leaves no wishes unfulfilled. About 80 kilometres of regularly groomed cross-country tracks await you on the Alpe di Siusi. In the villages of Castelrotto and Siusi allo Sciliar, guided snowshoe hikes and ski tours are offered during the cold season. In the Advent, a romantic atmosphere reigns over the Dolomites region at the foot of Mount Sciliar, when the Christmas Markets in the cities of Bressanone, Brunico, Bolzano and Castelrotto open their doors or if you take a trip back in time to the 19th century at the traditional peasant wedding in January with horse-drawn sleigh.
